The Divine Schools are a Pennsylvania Child Care Provider You Can Trust
We are a full-service, licensed business. The Divine Schools were established with the goal to promote a safe and nurturing learning environment that stimulates your child’s growth. Our curriculum, activities, and room arrangements are all tailored to be age appropriate. Our curriculum is based on Pennsylvania’s Early Childhood Learning Standards.
Our learning centers help prepare children for kindergarten. We also help school-age kids advance in class with our enriching after-school program. Your child will enjoy socializing with other children and engaging in activities like: Writing, Creating Art Work, Singing, Reading, Exploring Nature and Dancing. Our instructors work hard to plan fun and educational activities that will fuel your child’s creativity and curiosity.
We need a day in the life here
The first Devine School launched in May of 2003 in Cedar Crest. At that time, the facility was 4,500 square feet and provided care for approximately 30 children. After expanding multiple times, we opened our Brookside Location in July of 2009. This facility is over 8,000 square feet and is located on N. Brookside Road in Wescosville. The program was so well received, we had sizable wait lists, and decided to build a facility in East Penn School District. In July, 2013 our newest location in Macungie opened for business. This facility is over 10,000 square feet and is located in the heart of Macungie adjacent to Macungie Memorial Park. Since 2003, our program has expanded from 1 site caring for 30 children to 2 sites caring for approximately 300 children. We couldn’t be happier to work with all of the wonderful children and families that are now and forever a part of the Devine School Family.
We believe in small, individualized groups, where the children explore their learning areas with their teachers. These small, individualized groups allow for the teachers to spend time with the children in a smaller setting, which allows them to identify the strengths and areas of improvement for each child. Throughout the day, the children participate in math, science, art, social/emotional, literacy, sensory, fine motor, and writing activities. Our Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten Prep, and Kindergarten programs children also engage in Kid Fit, Spanish and Creative Arts enrichments once a week. Outside of curriculum times, the children spend time outside, as well as participate in free choice activities to expand their socialization and learning. Our teachers believe that children carry the full potential of the person they will become. More than just a day care, we are staffed by a team of highly trained professionals with decades of early learning experience who believe in unleashing children’s innate curiosity by weaving learning into every activity throughout the day.
TrainingOur teacher education includes one-on-one training with managers as well as health and safety training including CPR and First Aid.
Keystone StarsOur centers participate in Keystone Stars. Keystone STARS is a quality rating system that promotes quality improvement in early learning and development programs and school-age child care. A Keystone STARS designation informs parents that their children are in a safe, respectful environment in which they are learning new things every day to support their current and future successes in school and in life.
The standards are guided by the principle that quality early learning programs are the foundation for children's success, and investment in the early care and education of Pennsylvania's children is an investment in the future.
SafetyWhen your little one is in our care, you never need to worry about his or her safety. Each of our facilities is secured with protected entrances and exits. In addition to utilizing pass cards at every door, we are alerted of everyone who enters or exits.
We believe that the best way to encourage children to grow and learn is by letting them explore and interact with the world around them.
We focus our efforts on creating a stimulating atmosphere and incorporating meaningful activities throughout each day, including:
• Language Development (reading, looking at books)
• Fine Motor (drawing, painting, cutting, and pasting)
• Gross Motor (dancing, marching, moving)
• Social Interaction
We give each child plenty of opportunity to try new things and learn more about how the world works.
Is this true?
